Scaling a healthcare platform through system redesign and UX optimization
Result: +300% growth in processed results and patient reach.
Scalable platform redesign for patients, labs, and clinics

Overview
Led a two-stage UX/UI redesign for a healthcare platform, focusing on improving system scalability and enhancing the user experience for patients and partner institutions.
The project addressed both backend limitations and an outdated website experience, transforming the platform into a scalable and user-centered product.
Problem
Stage 1: Results Consultation Module
The existing system was built in PHP and operated separately from the WordPress website, leading to inconsistencies and maintenance issues. It supported only two user roles and had limitations in handling increasing request volumes, restricting business growth and operational efficiency. Users experienced friction when accessing results, and the system lacked flexibility for expansion.
Stage 2: Website Experience
The website had remained unchanged for years, resulting in an outdated interface and complex navigation. Key users—parents of newborns and families with school-age children—struggled to find relevant information and complete actions such as payments or service inquiries.
Role
UX/UI Designer & Developer.
Led UX strategy, system redesign, information architecture, and interface design. Worked closely with stakeholders to align user needs with business growth objectives.
Process
- Conducted UX and system audit to identify usability and scalability issues
- Analyzed user behavior and system limitations
- Redefined information architecture and user flows
- Designed multi-level user system
- Created wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma
- Led implementation using WordPress and scalable tools

Scalable Multi-User System Architecture

Key UX Decisions
- Replaced the legacy PHP system with a scalable WordPress-based solution
- Introduced multi-level user access (patients, labs, clinics)
- Simplified result access and reduced friction across flows
- Restructured navigation to match user mental models
- Prioritized clarity, accessibility, and ease of use for non-technical users

Solution
Stage 1: Results Platform Redesign
Developed a new results consultation system built on WordPress and powered by Gravity Forms, enabling scalable operations and multi-level user access.
The new system supports not only end users but also partner laboratories and clinics, significantly expanding platform capabilities.

Improved Information Architecture

Stage 2: Website UX Redesign
Redesigned the website to be simpler, more intuitive, and easier to navigate, while maintaining critical information for patients. Improved service descriptions, optimized the online payment experience, and created a clearer structure tailored to families and caregivers.
